School Physical Activity Leadership

Certificate Code - CG75

Discover your fully customizable pathway to a graduate certificate in School Physical Activity Leadership. Tailored for K-12 health and physical education teachers, this 12-credit online program seamlessly integrates theory with practical application across key domains including adapted physical education, technology and supervision, effective teaching principles, comprehensive school physical activity programs, models-based instruction, and athletic administration.

Course Requirements: Students must have a cumulative GPA of 2.75 to graduate from the program. Each required class must be completed with a grade of a C- or better. Graduate students with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) below 2.75 will be placed on academic probation.

School Physical Activity Leadership

  1. Program Design and Management: Graduates will demonstrate proficiency in designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive school physical activity programs, integrating theoretical principles and practical strategies to create engaging and effective learning environments for K-12 students.
  2. Instructional Innovation: Graduates will leverage technology and modern instructional approaches to enhance teaching and assessment in physical education, utilizing digital tools and data-driven insights to optimize student learning outcomes and progress tracking.
  3. Leadership and Administration: Graduates will demonstrate competence in leading and supervising physical education programs, including managing interscholastic sport initiatives, collaborating effectively with colleagues and stakeholders, and adhering to ethical and legal considerations in the realm of school physical activity leadership.
