The School of Education and Counseling offers a range of graduate and professional programs dedicated to advancing knowledge, research, and practice across education, counseling, and human development. The School prepares students to research, design, and implement innovative practices that promote learning, well-being, positive development, and healthy relationships in diverse contexts, including schools, families, workplaces, and communities.

Graduate programs include advanced study in Educational Theory and Practice, Literacy Education Studies, Special Education, Counseling, and related areas within human services and human sciences. These programs emphasize the integration of theory, research, and applied practice, providing students with opportunities to engage in real-world experiences through subject-specific clinics and laboratories, professional development classrooms, community-based settings, and research initiatives.

Across all graduate programs, the School emphasizes global awareness, cultural competence, and ethical practice. Graduates are prepared to lead with integrity, contribute to their professions through research and service, and foster meaningful change in the individuals and communities they serve. Faculty are recognized for their contributions to research, teaching, and professional practice, and are committed to mentoring students as scholars, practitioners, and leaders.
