The School of Sport Sciences offers master's degree programs in physical education teacher education (online), sport coaching (online), sport and performance psychology (online), sport management (on campus), and executive sport management (online). The online masters degree in sport management offers two areas of emphasis: Comprehensive Sport Industry Management and Interscholastic Athletic Administration. Students can start any of the master's degree programs at the start of any semester (i.e., Fall, Spring, or Summer).
The Ph.D. program in kinesiology, administered through the School of Sport Sciences, has two major areas: sport, exercise and performance psychology and coaching and teaching studies (designed for students interested in athletic coaching education/coach development or physical education teacher education).
The School of Sport Sciences also offers several graduate certificates for the student who is interested in a specialized credential that could be stacked into a master's degree at a later date. Graduate certificates are 12-credits of master level coursework. Graduate certificates offered include: Advanced Sport Management Research, Applied Sport Science in Coaching (online), Athlete Empowerment Through Positive Coaching (online), Athlete Talent Identification and Development (online), School Physical Activity Leadership (online), Sport Analytics and Performance, Sport Industry Leadership and Change Management.
